The Arcade Hotel
Rating:
Welcome to the world's first video game hotel! Remember when you're mum said you should stop wasting your time with video games? Yeah well we didn't – we opened up a hotel full of them. For all those that share the love for games build out of bits and bytes this is the hotel of your wet dreams! All our rooms are equipped with private shower, toilet and a hairdryer. But also a Nvidia Shield TV, a retro console, bigger rooms have modern consoles, and free WiFi (1 GB fibre). Additional to that you will find more retro games in our lobby, right next to the jaw-dropping Game Room. Oh and did we mention our 2.000 comics strong library where our guests can help themselves? Next to these treasures we offer a kick-ass breakfast bag, delivered straight to your room, that should easily fuel you for a head start to a full day of Amsterdam touring. We have a bar with a diverse choice of cocktails, long-drinks, dutch and Belgian beers, whisky, coffee, tea, and whatever else you would want from a bar. Last but not least our service personnel will be happy to pick the stars from the sky for you. We can help you book whatever you need, and with discounts!!! The Arcade is located in the heart of De Pijp across Sarphatipark (cutest local park in the city), and a 10 min tram ride to the centre. We are surrounded by bars and cafés populated by locals, and close to the Heineken Experience, Albert Cuypmarkt as well as a short walk to the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum. We believe in hotels being vibrant places of intercultural exchange, what better way of doing this than by providing games? Enjoy Amsterdam and in between relax with a couple of hours of Super Mario, Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter and many other retro & modern games. We invite you to experience our beautiful hotel, run by a bunch of gamers and helplessly passionate believers of the power of communities that reclaimed hospitality the way they understand it: Be excellent to each other.
